Ebook Publishing: How to Write an Ebook in 3 Days, Market It and Start Getting Sales in a Week

Ebook publishing is actually very easy. And, one of the reasons I love it is that you can get an idea in your head and get it out - and published - in a few hours or days. I know, I've written quite a few.
Following are some tips for writing an eBook that I've employed over the years that have allowed me to start my own little publishing empire.

Ebook Publishing: Specific Things I've Done to Write Books in as Little as a Few Hours

Find Time to Write: The reason so many put of writing an eBook is that they "have to find time to write" it. But again, you can literally bang one out in an 8 or 10 hour day if you want. It doesn't have to be this long, drawn out process.
One of my most successful ebooks was written in only 8 hours. Most take me about a week to finish (and that's because I'm usually working on client freelance writing projects in between).

Write an Outline: This is the first thing I do when I sit down to write an ebook. The reason is, it keeps me focused and on topic. It also helps me adhere to that all-important schedule of finishing within a few days.
Note: Your eBook outline will also become a critical part of your sales page. So it serves a double purpose and is a critical part of the ebook, publishing, writing - and sales - process.

Don't Edit, Write: One of the reasons you can write an eBook so quickly is when you sit down to write, just write. Don't worry about editing it or polishing it, or trying to make it perfect. Just get the thoughts out of your head down on paper.
Be sure to refer back to your eBook outline so you don't miss any important points.
I'm willing to bet dollars to doughnuts that if you do this, you'll have more than enough material for a 30, 40 or 50 pager if you write like this. You may even find yourself having to cut material.

Niche It: In my opinion (and to date I've written 18 ebooks), these little babies should be in the 30-60 page range. The reason is - again, in my experience and opinion - when most people purchase an ebook, they're looking for specific information on a specific topic.
And I'm talking about "non-fiction, how to" ebooks (the kind I specialize in).

Leave Out the Fluff: Notice the title of this article. It's very specific. When you read this, it had darned well better give you info about this - not about publishing in general, what size font to use, how to format page, etc.
You probably clicked on this article because you wanted info on... well... how to write an eBook in three days, right?

Edit/Revise/Rewrite: Once you've gotten the info down, then you can spend a day or so rewriting and organizing your material. But please don't spend too much time on this. You can edit or revise to death and it'll never be "quite right" (or make you money). But, you'll never know unless you publish the darn thing, now will ya?

Ebook Publishing Tip: The Best Way to Market to Get Quick Sales
Now that the writing is done, it's time to market. I use article marketing and posting ads on free classified ad sites like backpage. Usually, when I first publish an ebook, I'll write 20-30 articles during the first month (using SEO strategies to get search engine juice).
Then, I may keep that up and write one article a week for the next 4-5 months. Over time, this may drop off to 2-3 articles a month -- forever.
I also market to my in-house list of newsletter subscribers and via my social media (Twitter) account.

If you follow these steps, you can literally publish an eBook a week - and be on your way to creating your own ebook publishing empire.

5 Biggest Mistakes People Make When Marketing Niche Ebooks and How to Avoid It

Marketing your niche e-book isn't difficult when you know the pitfalls and how to avoid them.
5 of the biggest mistakes people make are:

a) trying to do everything at once,
b) designing a pretty website
c) focusing too much on selling products instead of growing their list,
d) not having a marketing plan, and
e) failing to create innovative products that sell themselves.

The biggest problem I see is people trying to do everything at once; they get confused and overwhelmed and nothing gets done. They don't know how to create an Internet business step-by-step that takes people through a funnel; they just start creating pieces that don't work because they don't understand the
function of each piece or why they are creating them. When I work with people, I get them to look at what they are trying to accomplish in a systematic way.
I then help them create the pieces that will move their customers through their funnel and get them to buy.

The second mistake people make is designing a website for looks, not sales.
One of the problems is that people are ignorant; they rely on a web designer and many of them unfortunately don't understand Internet marketing. I've seen people spend $10,000 on website design and still not have a website that works! It's
important to educate yourself so you know what you're getting in a web designer.
In any niche ebook on internet marketing you'll learn what you need to know to create an effective web site whether you work with a web designer or do it yourself! And, I promise it will save you a lot of time, money and aggravation.

The 3rd problem people make is creating too much product when they have no buyers! It's better to approach it in layers and create the products you need to get started and then create more as you go. In the meantime, you want to work on
building your list using one or two tactics at a time-not all at once. I'll help you build a successful business that works!

Another problem is people focusing on selling their e-book to the exclusion of everything else. They fail to see other opportunities and streams of income- they leave a lot of cash on the table because they don't understand how to capitalize
on it all. You will learn all the different ways you can maximize the profits.!
And finally, there are two ways to make money on the Internet, by marketing and by innovating. I think you need to do both and I can show you how so that you are considered the ONLY choice in your field. With my creative background and innovative programs, I've proved that I know how to do this and I can help you
achieve the same kind of success in your business.

10 Creative Ways To Make Money Online

Make More Money OnlineIf you’d claimed it was possible for the average guy on the street tomake millions of dollars online just a decade ago, the chances are good you’d have heard nothing but laughter in response. Today, though, there are countless Internet millionaires who turned a great idea into obscene profit, used the power of the web to promote their offline business or simply worked their butt off to sell their skills online.
While it’s unlikely that you’ll ever earn enough to buy your own private island, there’s nothing to stop you from using your skills to make a comfortable living online. In fact, while the media would have you believe that online success stories are limited to just a few lucky, hard working people who stumbled on a great idea that went on to make millions, the reality is that there are tens of thousands of people who make a living exclusively online. Here are just ten ways you can join them.

How To Make Money Online

1. Sell Stock Photography

Sell Stock Photos OnlineThe Internet has caused an explosion in the demand for stock photography. As the number of media and commercial outlets has increased dramatically with the growth of online media there’s an enormous need for high quality stock photos.
Yuri Arcurs is the man everyone turns to for their stock photo needs. As the world’s top selling stock photographer he sells an image every 8 seconds, 24 hours a day (that works out to over 4 million images each year). Arcurs makes millions of dollars each year simply by being the best at what he does. There are lots of great photographers in the world and the barrier to entry is as low as ownership of a camera, but Arcurs has managed to build a reputation online for consistent, high quality and imaginative images.
If you’re a professional photographer (or even just a hobbyist) you should consider the possibilities of selling stock images online.

2. Tweet For Sponsors

Sponsored TweetsSponsoredTweets.com is an online platform that allows you to make money on Twitter by charging sponsors for communicating their advertising messages to your followers. You set the amount you want to get paid for every tweet you make, choose a category and select keywords you want to work with. You then wait for advertisers to contact you and take you up on your offer, paying you the amount you specified for each tweet that you make.
All throughout the process, the tweeter has full control over his or her account, and may choose the wordings of the tweets, or may choose to reject the tweet altogether.

3. Blog for Ad Revenues

Google Adsense Money OnlineIf, however, you already have a blog with a devoted following it should be easy for you to leverage your readers into hard cash. Ad networks such as Google AdSense pay big money to place their ads on your site, and you’ll receive a payment every time a reader clicks one. While it’s easy to go overboard and fill every spare pixel, if you place your ads well it’s possible to make a comfortable income from your site.
One of the most successful bloggers around today is John Chow, a Canadian blogger who makes more than $40,000 a month through ad sales and other revenue streams. Ironically, his blog is about ways to make money online.

4. Sell Affiliate Products

Affiliate marketing money onlineIf you have a flair for sales copy you could try your hand at selling products for affiliates. The number of eBooks on Amazon reached 8 million last year, and Amazon stated that eBooks are outselling hard backs 2 to 1, 62% of ebook sales fell into the Thriller and Mystery genre, so if you feel that you could pull this style of genre off then you will be in for a good chance of sales.
26 year old self published author, Amanda Hocking from Minnesota makes more than $2 Million a year from her ebook sales. Amanda Hocking’s stories about, trolls, vampires and zombies and  ‘supernatural teen romances’ sell for $2.99 or for as little as $.99.

Why Should You Bother to Create Your Own Product?

At first glance, creating your own product seems like a big hassle when you could just sell other people's products and take an - often hefty - commission. Or you could go across to a resale rights site, buy a product for $10 or so and - if you believe the sales pitch - resell it to people for triple that amount or more. Of course, that second scenario doesn't actually pan out in real life, but you live in hope!
Selling other people's products
There are several problems with selling other people's products, especially if the other person is only someone that you've "met" on the internet.
Firstly, the other person may stop selling the product without notice. That's happened to me on a number of occasions. In one instance, I was making a good number of sales per month so I know it wasn't due to lack of profitability. They just disappeared off the face of the earth.
In other instances the product wasn't selling enough to keep the domain name going so, again, that negated all the time I'd spent promoting it.
Or, more recently, a software program I was promoting was removed because it no longer worked and it wasn't worth the developer spending the necessary money to bring it up to date.
So, as you can see, selling other people's products isn't the smooth path that people promoting affiliate marketing as an almost dream lifestyle quietly don't tell you. You have all the risk that any commission only salesperson has. Without necessarily getting the compensation to go with it.
Buying in re-sale rights
Resale rights are just that - the right (subject to certain restrictions) to sell a product as your own. The supermarkets do a version of this all the time - it's called white labelling because historically a product was supplied in plain white packaging, ready for the purchaser to put their own label on it. Nowadays all that is usually done by the manufacturer but the name has stuck.
With information products, you usually get a PDF book, maybe the Word document associated with it, possibly some audios and/or videos and maybe a sales letter and graphics.
Which sounds like a bargain until you find out that your granny could write a more compelling sales letter. Sure, the letter looks good but it doesn't do the job of selling.
Then there's the main product itself. 60 pages of (usually) ghost written content that's been researched - if indeed it has been researched - on Wikipedia and a handful of blogs.
There's a reason the original author didn't want their name on it.
Creating your own product
So long as you know your subject, this isn't actually as difficult as it sounds.
The main product just needs to be created - written or spoken or video - from an outline you create. So spend a while getting down the main sections and the sub-sections and the sub-sub-sections. Then create something valuable about each.
The sales letter doesn't have to be top quality copy. Sometimes home-made sales copy works a lot better as it doesn't come across that you're a slick salesman. Some sites even deliberately make their sales letters look like they weren't written by a professional - but we're often talking big money for that as these often are, and that kind of copywriter really isn't cheap.
Graphics can be done at sites like Fiverr and so long as you supply the original image that you've bought and got the license to, the results are fine and you won't get in trouble on copyright.
Then there's the advantage that you can use an affiliate program to resell your product and let other people act as commission only salespeople for you. It's win-win for you!

Ways To Earn Money Online Without A Blog

There are literally millions of articles in the blogosphere showing us how to make money online. Even people who’ve never made any substantial money on the Internet are writing about how to do so. This is getting slightly old for many of us. We’ve read enough of those articles and still can’t find any real ways we as individuals can make money online. We’ve done the ‘click here’ scenario which outlines how a ‘stay at home’ mum made $5,000 online in her first month. Yet, here we are, broke and wondering how we’re going to get a bite of the online money cake, especially since we haven’t even got a blog.
Here are some real ways people have been making money on the Internet and you can too.

Sign up with Fiverr and advertise your services to earn money
Fiverr is a website that allows you to sell any talent you have for $5.00. Can you sing a jingle, write a song, write love poems, cry on cue, and tape yourself laughing silly over any random joke? Can you take pictures of the pandas living next door to you? Do you live in a city everyone wants to visit (you can take pictures of this and sell to them). Can you photoshop any picture? Can you paint your face blue and recite happy birthday? The possibilities are endless. Once you describe what you’re willing to do, and your gig is approved, do a good job and get your gigs rated highly. Once you start receiving ratings, your gig could potentially become one of the biggest on the site. It’s possible to get multiple orders each day.

Sell on e-bay to earn money online
Have you got vintage toys you no longer use? Do you live in the UK where Dr Who toys are available cheaply? US collectors will buy them for higher prices. Whatever you have you can sell on e-bay. As long as you develop a track record of delivering good–quality stuff, well within the time stated, you’ll demonstrate that you can be trusted. You can work from home selling on e-Bay, making a great additional income from this extra online service – and there’s no blog in sight!

Design e-book covers to earn money online
If you’re artistic or have experience with graphic design you could potentially set yourself up (if you’ve taken time to build up your network and your platform) as a designer for e-Book covers. E-Book writing is an unusually popular and profitable business these days. Most bloggers have written one in order to get people to sign up to their sites (they give them away for free to each subscriber). Each of these books has to have a cover. This is where you come in. With practise, you could become extremely good, if you’re not already there. Bloggers you’ve designed for will obviously have their books displayed prominently on their sites. All you have to do is ask them to credit you as the designer (perhaps in exchange for a small discount). They will be doing your promotion for you.

Design websites to earn money online
We’ve already mentioned how the website business has come a long way and is a very profitable industry to get into. You don’t have to have a blog to profit from one. If you have knowledge or experience in html or coding, you can sell your services to bloggers. Millions of people potentially need your services out there. Again, ask to be credited on their blogs (perhaps in exchange for a discount) and watch your business take shape because of all those people, in different parts of the world who are promoting and marketing your services for free.
